Super League target completes “stunning” immediate transfer

Transfer stories are the order of the month it seems with Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC all involved in announcements and rumours.

After signing Mickael Goudemand for 2024, the Rhinos have been linked with a move for former Huddersfield Giants star Danny Levi amid talk of Aidan Sezer leaving the club.

Meanwhile, Wigan Warriors have been linked with Adam Keighran and Brenko Lee after signing Kruise Leeming and Sam Walters for next year.

Warrington Wolves have fended off competition from their rivals to sign Newcastle Knights star Lachlan Fitzgibbon next year as many Super League clubs look to the NRL for a potential signing in the pack which has seen many clubs linked with one NRL star in particular.

Recently, two Super League clubs in Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves were tipped by Australian reports to make a move for NRL star Matt Lodge and now is exit has been further reported.

The 28-year-old is looking for a new club and though there will be plenty of suitors down under, Super League clubs will be monitoring the situation.

Reports suggest that a number of Super League clubs would be interested in the forward but tipped two to make a play for him.

The publication claimed that Warrington Wolves would be the mostly likely Super League club to make a move for him with Leeds Rhinos a close second.

The Rhinos have been open about looking for a new forward. Sam Walters is set to join Wigan Warriors at the end of the year after all.

As for Warrington, they lost Thomas Mikaele earlier this year and now Josh McGuire.

Hull FC were another side mentioned by reports down under. They are losing Chris Satae at the end of the season as they undergo a rebuild.

However, any Super League club who had their eyes on the NRL forward will have to move on because the prop has completed what Zerotackle have called a “stunning” move to Manly Sea Eagles effective immediately on a train on trial contract at the club.

The door is still open for clubs to sign him next year.
