Leigh target Nene Macdonald has signed for Norths Devils in the Intrust Super Cup.
The Devils – who are based in Brisbane, Australia – announced the signing via Instagram.
Leigh had rumoured to have been close to striking a deal with Macdonald, but the three-quarter is now set to stay Down Under.
The 27-year-old has almost 100 NRL games under his belt for the likes of Gold Coast Titans and St George Illawarra Dragons, but was expected to leave Australia following an ill-fated spell at Cronulla.
However, that is not to be the case and Macdonald will ply his trade in Brisbane.
