Disciplinary really caught the eye last week with Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Castleford Tigers stars in hot water.
As Hull KR star Mikey Lewis dodged a ban to play in the Hull derby against Hull FC and Ethan Havard was fined, it was Blake Austin and Sam Kasiano who were hit with bans before big games.
The same could be said of Amir Bourouh at Salford Red Devils and Castleford star Liam Watts who the week prior had said that he is treated harshly by the match review panel.
But that wasn’t the case last week as Watts’ appeal of the suspension worked with his two match ban overturned by the operational rules tribunal.
He wasn’t the only one to have his banned overturned as that would also be the case for Bourouh after it was revealed that he was incorrectly sentenced.
So a busy week for disciplinary but what about this week.
Every Monday the question is will anyone pick up a suspension.
Well there are a few players who will be waiting nervously.
St Helens star Konrad Hurrell was penalised for a high tackle against Warrington Wolves. Jack Smith at the time gave a penalty but will the panel state that it deserves a further punishment.
Meanwhile, in the same game we saw Gil Dudson penalised as he left his knee over an opponent after a tackle.
Perhaps he will be cautioned for other contrary behaviour.
It will be interesting to see if the panel has anything to say about Joe Shorrocks’ late hit on Will Dagger which gave away the penalty that allowed Wakefield to take the game to golden point.
Meanwhile, Shaun Kenny-Dowall will be waiting nervously after his yellow card against Hull FC which Paul Cooke said should have been red on Sky Sports.
There were also yellow cards for Mikolaj Oledzki and Chris Atkin as Leeds Rhinos took Salford. They were involved in a scuffle.
