We have seen a number of big announcements and rumours circling a number of Super League clubs such as Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC.
Take Leeds Rhinos for example. Rohan Smith’s men have worked to tie down a number of key men such as former Leigh Leopards star Nene MacDonald but they have also drafted in Catalans Dragons star Mickael Goudemand for next year who will be replaced by Chris Satae from Hull FC.
The Rhinos have been linked with a huge signing in the shape of former Huddersfield Giants star Danny Levi whilst there has been talk of Aidan Sezer’s exit.
The Rhinos are expected to have a couple of quota spots to use in 2024 and it has been speculated in the past that the club could use one on a forward but they missed out on their initial target Lachlan Fitzgibbon to Warrington Wolves.
He may not be the only player headed to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2024 but the other won’t be a new face.
This stems from developments at Wigan Warriors.
According to The Mole of Wide World of Sports, Wigan Warriors are interested in Dolphins centre Brenko Lee which could spell the end of one player’s time at the DW Stadium.
The Tongan international and Queensland representative joined the NRL’s newest club for their inaugural season and according to the Notorious Mole, the club risk losing him to Wigan Warriors.
The 27-year-old could receive a long term deal at the DW Stadium according to the Mole.
He has another year left on his deal with the NRL club but they will allow him to leave if he secures the move to the Warriors for 2024.
The club are also reportedly interested in Catalans centre Adam Keighran according to L’Independent in France.
He appears to be the club’s other option to take the number three shirt in 2024.
This of course would all but signal the end of Toby King’s time in Cherry and White.
The centre joined the club on loan from Warrington Wolves for 2024. Matt Peet has been open about wanting to keep King but recent reports have suggested he will be a Warrington player again in 2024 especially as salary cap rules favour the Wolves in respect to keeping him.
Now Jon Wells on Sky Sports has claimed that King will definitely be headed back to the Halliwell Jones.
The Wolves do have Peter Mata’utia out of contract at the moment but it has to be said that Connor Wrench is in superb form since returning from an ACL injury.
