Super League starlet back in the competition

Castleford Tigers Head Coach Andy Last has named his 21-man Castleford pack to travel to Newcastle and Magic Weekend this Saturday.

Leeds Rhinos are the opposition for the Fords at the annual event for the second year running as they look to claim back-to-back wins over their local rivals in 2023.

Cas’ last meeting with the Rhinos was back in March at The Jungle where a Bureta Faraimo double clinched a memorable 14-8 victory.

The pair are coming into the clash on the back of defeats with the Tigers falling short at Huddersfield and Leeds losing out to St Helens due to a Lewis Dodd golden point-winning drop goal at Headingley.

Last has only made one change from the squad that was selected for the Tigers’ visit to the Giants last week as Jason Qareqare, who returns from his loan stint at Bradford, replaces Alex Sutcliffe.

Qareqare joined the Bulls on a season long loan.
