Super League star won’t play this weekend after “further investigation” into “unacceptable language”

Warrington Wolves have been enduring some shaky form since their eight game unbeaten run ended.

Daryl Powell’s side stormed to the top of the league winning their first eight games of the season before losing back to back games against last year’s top two: Wigan Warriors and St Helens.

They got back on track but haven’t looked dominant and last week lost to Leigh Leopards.

The Wolves meet Hull FC in the final game of the Magic Weekend. Hull, under former Wire boss Tony Smith, have drastically improved after a seven game losing run.

They won four on the spine before pushing Salford Red Devils all the way last weekend.

As Hull look to return to winning ways after Sunday’s defeat to Salford at the Salford Stadium, Smith has made just one change to the squad with Andre Savelio returning to the squad in place of fellow forward Nick Staveley.

Hull remain without Carlos Tuimavave (hamstring), Mitch Vulikijapani (ACL), and Davy Litten (ankle) through injury.

As for Warrington Wolves, there is no Josh McGuire.

McGuire is under investigation over “unacceptable language” against Leigh Leopards last week and it will be determined whether he will be banned on Monday.

However, he could have played this weekend but has a knock.

Riley Dean is again in the squad after being recalled from loan from Featherstone Rovers last week  but Josh Drinkwater is back from his ban.
