Super League star set to be ineligible for huge game

Plenty of Super League teams are looking for immediate signings like Warrington Wolves, Castleford Tigers and even Leigh Leopards have confirmed an interest in a mid-season signing.

In Super League history we have seen some transformative mid season signings like Zak Hardaker at Leeds Rhinos last year, Stuart Fielden at Wigan Warriors in the past or Ben Barba at St Helens in 2017 helping spark their now dynasty.

So far this season we have seen the likes of Wakefield Trinity have great success with mid-season recruits. Hull KR have recently drafted in Brad Schneider for the rest of the season.

Castleford have made their moves and desire more whilst Huddersfield Giants brought in Adam Milner from Castleford Tigers.

The hooker has opened up on this move recently: “I must admit it’s probably taken me a while with the circumstances and everything that went on. It did come as a bit of a shock to me at the time, but I’m over that now and I’ve got my hands on the ball if you’d like to say.

“I’ve got myself well and truly stuck into the games that I’ve played. It’s been a big change but nonetheless I’ve enjoyed it. Different environment, different faces and a complete different team and coaching staff that I’m enjoying.

“Every time I put on the Giants colours it doesn’t quite feel right but after wearing black and amber for 13 plus years, yeah it’ll probably take a while just to get over that.

“I’m still referring to Cas as us and we. You know, so a few more moments under my belt and I’m sure it’ll all change.”

Milner is set to be an official Huddersfield player next year but he currently only on loan at the Giants.

Milner revealed that this means he will not be allowed to play against the Tigers:

“I don’t think so, no. Obviously I made the move the week Huddersfield played Cas at home at the Giants and I weren’t eligible to play so I should imagine it will be pretty much the same obviously in the reverse fixture but yeah if I’m wrong then I’ll look forward to that fixture absolutely.”
