Super League star seems set to joins rivals after cryptic coach comments

Ada Swift’s future is up in the air and that was said by Hull FC coach Tony Smith before the Magic Weekend.

Then there were reports recently that Huddersfield Giants are interested in the former St Helens winger and 2014 Grand Final winner.

Following this speculation from Rugby League Live, Tony Smith has addressed the winger’s future.

“Swifty’s a good guy, if he’s got something to announce he can announce it,” Smith said on BBC Radio Humberside.

“I trust him and I like him as a player and as a person and am grateful for the efforts he puts in now and however long he’s got left with us, if that’s to the end of the year or beyond I know he’ll put in all the effort he can.

“He’s a super bloke and a super player so yeah we’ll do all our announcements, goodbyes and thankyous at the appropriate time. Until then we’ll get on with it and hopefully he’ll have a cracker against his old club this weekend.”

Hull FC and Swift take on his former club St Helens in the Challenge Cup quarter-finals this weekend.

The final four awaits the victors.
