Super League star reportedly considering retirement

Former England international and Wigan Warriors star Michael McIlorum is yet to make a decision on his future.

McIlorum is considering whether to retire at the end of the year according to French sources.

If he does elect to retire, the Leeds born hooker had a position waiting for him at Catalans Dragons.

Trio Adam Keighran, Tyrone May and Mickael Goudemand are all currently in negotiations.

This is according to French publication L’Independent.

The trio are all said to be in talks with Catalans Dragons about extending their stay in France.

Goudemand is a French international whilst May and Keighran arrived from the NRL.

May joined ahead of the 2022 season after helping Penrith Panthers to the Grand Final prior to starring for Samoa at the Rugby League World Cup where he sadly suffered a dislocated hip.

Meanwhile, Keighran was one of their major signings going into the 2023 season.

He only signed a one year deal when he arrived in Perpignan and has been one of the signings of the season playing in the centres and in the halves.

Keighran has been linked with a move to Super League rivals such as Wigan Warriors who are set to lose Toby King after his loan move expires.

However, the centre seems set to remain at the club beyond 2023.

The French side currently sit at the top of the table after they defeated Wigan Warriors at the Magic Weekend.

Many wrote them off going into the season but they are looking like real title contenders.
