Super League star FINALLY returns to training after almost a year on sidelines

When Jamie Shaul ruptured his ACL playing for Hull FC against Castleford last October, he knew it would take him a long time to get back to full fitness.

However, nine months later and the fullback has retuned to training following an extremely challenging rehabilitation programme.

Though the fullback still has over a month to go until he could force himself back into head coach Brett Hodgson’s reckoning, Shaul is understandably excited to return, as he told Hull Live.

“It’s been absolutely killing me, just knowing that you’re getting closer and closer makes you so excited.

“I was saying to one of the boys, it’s like when you first get into the first-team and you get to train with them all, you’re so excited to go training.

“I’ve literally gone in all guns blazing. I know I’ve ticked everything off in getting my knee as strong as it can be and in my first session it was like I’d never left.”
