Sky Sports pundits were full of praise for Hull KR star Mikey Lewis after his latest performance for the Robins with the English Super League star compared to Man of Steel holder Bevan French.
Lewis made himself the centre of attention for wins over both Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos recently, and another sparkling display this time round meant he was again the focus of much of the post-match talk.
It was, ultimately, a comfortable 80 minutes for the Robins against London Broncos, which saw them move to second-place with Wigan getting hammered by Warrington at the same time.
Head coach Willie Peters said after the game that he saw Lewis as “the difference” in their victory, even saying he felt the game may have gone another way without him, and he’s certainly having a good season.
He’s joint-top of the try assists leaderboard in Super League with 18, joint-fifth for tries with 12, and has provided some special moments for the fans to enjoy all year.

Following the game, pundits were waxing lyrical about Mikey Lewis’ display, even suggesting that he could be one of the best that England has ever produced if he continues on his trajectory.
Kevin Brown said: “Yeah well, he’s got the potential to be one of the very best players that we’ve produced at the moment.
“I think he’s an international quality player but he can do things like we speak about Bevan French that not many people can do.”
Jon Wilkin seemed to agree, saying: “He is an elusive running threat and he just encourages tackle breaks all the time.
“He’s a bit like George Williams in that regard. He just bounces back and finds weakness in the defensive line.
“He is one of those players that we just love to cover, isn’t it? We love to watch him.”
Kevin Brown then went as far as to say: “I think they’re a real dark horse now to be able to take the form and go for the League Leaders Shield.”
Hull KR are only behind current leaders Warrington Wolves on points difference, and have been very consistent this season: you certainly can’t rule them out just yet.

Sorry, but not Bevan French. He and Lewis have too many different qualities.
I dislike comparisons, but if you must, and you can remember that far back, I would liken him most to Andy Gregory.
