Super League star apologises for red card

It was an explosive start to the latest Challenge Cup quarter final as Wigan Warriors collide with Warrington Wolves.

Kaide Ellis was sent off.

The prop was spotted head butting Stefan Ratchford who was bleeding after the incident.

The incident started as Wigan turned up the pressure defensively.

They trapped Warrington in the corner and on the first tackle of the Wolves’ exit set, the Warriors dragged them back off the pitch forcing a goal line drop out.

However, Ellis was then spotted pushing Stefan Ratchford starting a pile in and then the video referee spotted Ellis’ head butt on Ratchford resulting in his red card.

Despite being down a man, Wigan have taken the lead through a Warrington player.

Centre Toby King is on loan at Wigan scored after a kick was batter by by winger Abbas Miski.

They went on to make it 8-0.

To Ellis’ credit he was seen apologising to his teammates at halftime on BBC.

The Warriors are doing it very good despite his absence.
