Every Super League side’s shirt numbers for 2025 so far after Leeds Rhinos become ninth team to lock in squad

We’re starting to see Super League sides reveal their shirt numbers for the 2025 campaign, with Leeds Rhinos becoming the ninth of the 12 so far confirming their numbers.

While shirt numbers aren’t a guarantee of the role a player will have for the season ahead, it gives us some indication of the coaching team’s plans early on in their pre-season preparations.

Here are the shirt numbers for every single 2025 Super League team that have revealed them so far.

Castleford Tigers

Cas were the sixth Super League side to confirm their squad numbers after the signing of yet another PNG forward. Jeremiah Simbiken is the latest signing and has been handed number 11.

Despite being primarily a winger, Jacob Gagai, the South Sydney Rabbitohs’ top scorer in 2024, has been handed the number one shirt, while Tom Burgess takes the 10 shirt and Sam Halsall is given a starting number at five.

NRL signings for Hull FC Jordan Rapana and Aidan Sezer have taken the number one and seven shirts respectively, while Jordan Abdull takes the number six shirt – and there are nine new signings in the first XIII.

After Hull KR confirmed the signing of releaded Leeds Rhinos forward Leon Ruan they confirmed their squad and revealed their shirt numbers. Mikey Lewis claiming the previously retired number six is the major move of note whilst five signings claim shirts in the top 17.

The question at Leeds was how would they fit in their three wingers and utility back Jake Connor. Brad Arthur has answered that with one player switching to centre and new signing Connor taking a shirt number outside the initial 17.
