The new year is just days away and with it will come a new Super League season just seven weeks into the beginning of the latest chapter of human history.

A new year is a time when everyone looks to make a new start and make a change as they begin a new year.

This is why we get New Year’s Resolutions every year from so many people.

This desire for a new start shouldn’t be restricted to people though and could very well apply to Super League clubs.

So, what should Catalans Dragons’ resolution be going into 2023?

A fairly simple one really: the Dragons still need to make two more signings. After mutually agreeing the termination of Dylan Napa’s contract, they are in the market for a prop and have missed out on former Warrington Wolves and Salford Red Devils Ben Murdoch-Masila.

Meanwhile, they are also after a centre having missed out on Featherstone Rovers’ Joey Leilua.

The Dragons could also sign a halfback and move Tyrone May to the centres alongside new signing Adam Keighran.

Nonetheless, it is clear Steve McNamara needs to recruit players as the French side undergoes somewhat of a rebuild following a drop down the table after a League Leaders’ Shield win in 2021 and an inaugural Grand Final.
