Super League side Toulouse Olympique have announced a long-term contract extension for one of their star men.
After Olly Ashall-Bott penned new terms earlier in June, the club have now confirmed that Mathieu Jussaume has agreed a new deal that will keep him at the club for the foreseeable future.
The deal will run until the end of 2029, in what is a major boost for their long-term future.
Making his debut for the club in 2019, he started out as a centre until a switch to the back row came at the start of last year. Since moving into the pack, the Frenchman has been a key cog in the Toulouse machine, and he played a key role in their Championship Grand Final-winning season last year.
Scoring eight tries so far this season, Jussaume and Ashall-Bott have arguably been the two stand-outs for Sylvain Houles’ side this year, with his defensive stats proving just as healthy as his attacking.
Averaging over 32 tackles per game and having a tackle efficiency of 91%, he made a huge 51 tackles with 0 misses in the game against York back in April, whilst against Wigan he ran for a huge 177 metres.

Super League side bolster squad after key man pens long-term deal
“I’m delighted to extend my contract with my boyhood club, in my hometown, alongside this team and coaching staff,” Jussaume said after signing his new deal.
“I’m very proud to continue playing my part in the club’s project, which I fully believe in, over the next three years.”
As well as signing Jussaume on a long-term deal, Toulouse have already confirmed that winger and Cook Islands international Paul Ulberg will sign for 2027 with the option of an additional year. After three years at the club, he’s now locked in for a fourth and possibly a fifth season.
