Super League side suffer seismic double injury blow

Hull KR are doing it tough with injuries and things have gotten worse for them.

The club have confirmed on social media that outside back Sam Wood will be out for three to four months after a serious knee injury.

Meanwhile, star man Jordan Abdull is out for 12 week and possibly up to 17 weeks if he requires surgery on his hamstring injury.

Willie Peters said:

“So Jordan, at this stage we need to get a more test done on him, but it’ll be a minimum of 12 weeks.

“So yeah, yeah, so we’re looking to see whether he needs an operation. Which the operation’s probably, it’s still around sort of 16, 17 weeks. So if he doesn’t need the op, it probably cuts the injury or the return by about four or five weeks.

“But we’re looking at a minimum of 12 weeks he’s done some damage to his tendon, his hamstring.

“And that’s taken it pretty close to the end of the season isn’t it? Yeah mate, yeah it is. So if you look at something with Jordan it’s been a sort of trend, we spoke to us the other day around this sort of part of the year so what we need to do is look further into his body and reasons behind it of the year so what we need to do is look further into his body and reasons behind it and that means sending him away somewhere after the season or even shortly after.”
