The likes of Hull KR, Wigan Warriors, Leigh Leopards and St Helens are looking ahead to the Challenge Cup semi-finals next week but after their game against Leeds Rhinos, the Robins have some concerns.
This comes after St Helens lost Mark Percival and James Roby for their semi-final against Leigh at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Hull KR will meet Wigan next week at Headingley but this week at Headingley they lost two ley players in Dean Hadley and Ryan Hall.
“Dean Hadley failed an HIA. Ryan Hall has got a calf issue and then there’s a lot of bumps and bruises in there,” Willie Peters said.
“There’s a lot of guys up and playing busted tonight and they just kept playing and fighting through. So we’ll have to have a look at it. I don’t know the exact, I haven’t spoken to Dan to get a full report yet but that’s all I know at the moment.
Asked if Hall could feature next week, Peters said:
“There’s a doubt because I didn’t want to bring him off. The thing with Ryan though is if anyone can come back, you know the guy come back after a week from an operation, not many players, I don’t know anyone that does that.
“He’s just, he’s playing it, the age he’s playing it because of the type of person and character that he is. Like he’s just, yeah like he knows his body better than anyone but he pushes his body more than anyone as well. So I know that he’ll give himself every chance. If he can play he will, if he can’t, well I know that he’s not right.”
There is a chance however Elliot Minchella could be back in a major boost for the Robins:
“We’re hoping Mini but we don’t know because Mini’s injury could be a longer one, it could be next week but it’s one of those where we’ve just got to rehab him as well as possible. There was talk there, do we go in, you know, he went and saw a specialist and there was other areas, sorry, other ways to try and improve him or get him back quicker but we’re just going to go with the normal rehab now and we’ll see how that goes.”
