We have seen plenty of huge transfer stories lately with announcements and rumours circling around Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Hull KR, Warrington Wolves and Hull FC.
These have provided the back drop for some superb Super League action and big games.
Such as last week we saw Hull KR come up short against their rivals Hull FC which coupled with Leeds’ win over Salford Red Devils has blown the race for the play-offs wide open.
This week the Robins and Leeds meet knowing the winner could draw level with Salford in sixth sport.
But going into that fixture, the Robins are set to draft in their huge signing for his debut at Headingley.
That is Brad Schneider who they brought in from Canberra Raiders.
The Robins will want him fit to feature against Wigan Warriors in the Challenge Cup semi-final at Headingley so it would be in their best interest to get him up to speed.
On Schneider, Willie Peters said on BBC Radio Humberside: “Yeah, he should be. He trained with us today, he’s a really confident young fella and he is exactly what we need.
“This week we need some guidance and as a spine player Brad will come in and do that. He is very confident of himself.
“Directing his team round the park he is really good and he already knows all their names and so looking forward to seeing him play.
“We can’t expect too much from him too early.”
It would be ideal if he did play with Peters confirming Mikey Lewis will be out:
“He’s feeling the effects there, it’s more round his neck, it’s a bit of neck pain. He won’t play because he didn’t pass the protocols and Kane Linnett is the same so unfortunately both of them are out this week,” he said on BBC Radio Humberside.
“Hopefully it’s just this week. Obviously got to speak to the doc and the specialist and go through the protocols. So we’re hopeful it’s just a one week injury.
“The other one is Jack Walker. He has got a bit of a rib issue, he’s touch and go.”
