Super League side reportedly makes sensational offer for Cronulla Sharks stalwart Andrew Fifita

The Fifita brothers have been in the limelight in recent days following twins Andrew and David confirming their exits from their respective sides.

Whilst Andrew will be departing from the Cronulla Sharks after almost ten years at the club, David will be leaving Wakefield Trinity following seven years at Belle Vue.

Where the two will end up next has been a source of debate over recent days with a potential link-up mooted at an NRL side whilst offers from other Super League clubs have been reportedly made.

However, Andrew has revealed himself today that a number of Super League clubs have put in huge offers for him to lure him to the UK after the blockbusting prop revealed he still had a number of playing years left in him.

“I will miss the Sharks but I won’t call time just yet, I feel like I’ve still got a good couple (of years left), but if I can get one more I’ll be grateful for that,” Fifita said on Triple M.

“I’ve got a few Super League clubs at the moment especially with my brother coming off (contract) with his team and he’s pretty keen as well.

“There has been a few NRL clubs pop up but at this point of where I am now, I see myself as that bench role and just that influence you have on players, helping them grind their way. My goal is for these young ones.”

The 33-year-old has been offered a deal by Cronulla for an off-field role but Fifita is keen to continue playing and to do so along his brother.

However, David looks to be leaving Trinity to go back to Australia after one of his friends seemingly confirmed the news.

On Fifita’s farewell post on his Instagram, one of his friends screenshotted his story with the caption: “I’m not sure what our time in England will look like without them but we are all going to miss them very much,” with the friend tagging David and his wife.
