Super League side Wakefield Trinity have sent one of their young stars out on loan for the upcoming 2025 season.
Hunslet RLFC are the side who have benefitted with Trinity sending young centre Noah Booth out on loan to the Leeds-based club for the 2025 season. Booth arrived at Wakefield ahead of the 2024 season and impressed during his few outings.
It’s a move that has major benefits for all parties given that Booth was unlikely to get opportunities in Super League going forward. Now, Trinity will get a chance to assess their young star who will likely play week in and week out at the Championship level.
Of course, Hunslet will benefit massively as well given Booth’s immense talent set to add to their ranks following their promotion to the Championship.
During their promotion campaign, they utilised the loan market to bring in young George Flanagan Jr from Huddersfield Giants who was key at full-back in their play-off matches. They’ll be hoping for a similar impact from Booth.
Super League side loan out youngster
Wakefield Trinity had previously signed Corey Hall to play centre for the 2025 season meaning that Booth would have found game time hard to come by at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.
He played just nine times during the 2024 season behind the likes of Iain Thornley, who has since exited to join Oldham, so a loan move makes perfect sense.
Announcing the deal, Wakefield said: “Noah Booth will join recently promoted Hunslet RLFC on a year long loan for the entire 2025 season.
“After joining the club at the start of the 2024 season, Booth went on to make nine appearances in the Red, White and Blue during the season with the youngster playing across fullback, centre and halfback.”
Speaking on the move, Booth said: “I’m extremely looking forward to joining Hunslet on loan from Wakefield. I got a taste of Championship last year and need more of that experience to develop as a player. This year is massive for me and this opportunity will be invaluable as a young player.”
Hunslet also shared a statement of their own, announcing: Hunslet RLFC are delighted to have signed Wakefield Trinity utility back Noah Booth on a 12-month loan deal.”
Head Coach Dean Muir said “Noah is a young man who needs to play consistently and we are lucky to have secured his services for next season.
“He is a natural centre who can also cover a variety of positions. He will play a vital part in trying to achieve our goals next season.
“Whilst on Dual registration for a short period last season he was a great pro and fitted into how we wanted to play. I am really excited to be working with Noah again.”
