Super League side have seemingly secured new signing for 2024

It’s May and thus recruitment for next year has begun at plenty of Super League clubs.

One side who might be busy looking ahead to 2024 and beyond is the Leeds Rhinos an d it now seems the Rhinos have secured a new signing for the 2024 season.

The West Yorkshire club have first teamers like David Fusitu’a, Blake Austin, Aidan Sezer and James Bentley out of contract as well as youngsters Sam Walters and Liam Tindall.

Walters is all but confirmed as joining Wigan Warriors with Rohan Smith confirming he turned down a new deal. Smith has also said that he wants Tindall to stay with the Rhinos in 2024 and beyond.

Recently Smith has spoken about recruitment and retention even saying that the club has already done some of their recruitment:

“Firstly we are working through some retention. I am a big believer that you don’t always have to be looking outside.

“We have a lot of young players who are developing this year and we have some just behind them.

“Some of our recruitment has already done and it will emerge as the season progresses,” Smith said hinting at new signings.

“We will be looking for players who can add a point of difference to what we have got and then some of the players who are off contract have their own options to explore as well so it is not all in our hands.”

Now Yorkshire Evening Post’s Peter Smith has said on Twitter that the club have secured one signing for next season.
