Super League side have “an eye on the transfer market”

Castleford Tigers appointed Andy Last as their permanent head coach last week.

He was given a two and half year deal and his first job will be getting the Tigers out of trouble with Cas on just two wins and four points above Wakefield Trinity at the bottom.

Thus, he has set about improving the Tigers’ attack.

“Yeah definitely. You’re not going to please everyone. I think the start to my time as head coach we have been a bit clunky in attack,” he said on Sky Sports.

“Cas supporters are always used to a really entertaining brand of rugby league and we aren’t really clicking yet offensively but the defence is a lot better than we were.

“We’re a work in progress.

“I think what is important is that players all understand what we need.

“Next year we are looking to freshen things up and bring in some creativity.”

Last week the Tigers also announced the signing of former Love Island star Jacques O’Neill.

But will there be only more signings at the Jungle?

Well Last revealed they have an eye on things but aren’t making a move yet:

“I think you never say never. We have an eye on the market, loan players and if someone becomes available who we think can really help us then we would look to make a move but at this moment it is this group.

“They are not playing as well as they can at the minute.”
