Warrington Wolves’ hopes of playing in the Challenge Cup Final in 2023 have been ended so their attention switches to Super League and Super League alone.
After their recent run of inconsistent form, they have lost top spot to Catalans Dragons.
They need a win here to keep the pressure on Catalans at the Super League summit.
Meanwhile, opponents Castleford Tigers need a win to open up a gap between them and Wakefield Trinity in the relegation battle.
These two clubs have been closely tied together by Daryl Powell’s move from Castleford to Warrington at the end of 2021.

Andy Last has made four alterations from the 21-man squad picked ahead of the Salford game. Bureta Faraimo and youngster George Hill come in along with Alex Mellor who is now back in the fold after passing his return-to-play protocols. Prop Liam Watts is also back in contention with the #32 missing out on the Red Devils fixture due to a ban.
Missing out through injury are George Lawler and captain Paul McShane. Suaia Matagi remains back in New Zealand due to a recent family bereavement and our condolences continue to go out to Sui and his family. Mahe Fonua is the other absentee from the line up from last time out.
