It is that time of year where recruitment is key.
That is true at Leigh Leopards who are striving to ensure their star studded squad remains together.
Today Adrian Lam gave an encouraging update on the situation including big name Kai O’Donnell.
“We’ve worked really hard on bringing everyone together. We have to keep striving to be better no matter where we are in the league, and that’s exactly why we sit sixth in the league.
“Kai has been superb this year, and it’s crucial to make sure we keep players like that. We’re in the process to make sure players are secured for next year. I’m confident we can do that.”

He also again praised his side for the way they have started this season and the way they have avoided relegation talk:
“At the start of the season we were under a lot of pressure to stay up, and after eleven games to be in the top six, it shows as a group just how much we’ve developed. We’re not mentioning relegation at all, and we haven’t since pre-season.
“We set the year up to make sure our mindset wasn’t just to stay up. Above all of that, our recruitment was to bring in experience and make people realise who they’re playing for. We’ve done remarkably well at that.”
