Castleford Tigers have tonight released a statement about the club as they do it tough on the field and questions are raised of the club by their fans.

This also comes after the club have allowed two of their long serving players to leave.

Earlier this week Daniel Smith joined Featherstone Rovers after an initial loan move and today Adam Milner, shortly after his 300th appearance for the club, joined Huddersfield Giants on a season long loan prior to a permanent move in 2024.

In the club’s statement, they have confirmed their intention to bring in new faces for the current season.

“As you will be aware we have had some player movement in the past few days with players leaving the club,” the statement read.

“We would like to wish both players well and thank them for the service they have given over the years.

“Both players had an opportunity to gain deals for themselves beyond this season and we felt that it was fair to allow them to take the opportunity to gain an extended deal.”

The club then stated that they are interested in new faces for the rest of the season:

“This has allowed the club to go into the market to bring in some new faces to freshen the squad up for the rest of the season.”
