Super League side bring in rugby union player on trial

Hull FC MKM Stadium

Hull FC were able to give some minutes to first teamers who won’t feature against Salford Red Devils on Sunday in front of the OurLeague cameras.

Jamie Shaul, Joe Lovodua and Andre Savelio all featured.

Shaul is returning from injury and Savelio has had his own injury woes.

There were reports that Hull were open to offers for Savelio to leave immediately with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

This week Tony Smith said Savelio would be given a chance to get back up to speed and he impressed today as did Shaul who crossed for a try.

However, it was young Clark Wells who caught the eye. The outside back scored four tries in the game as he joins the club on trial.

2o years old he has a rugby union background playing in the backs at the likes of Otley.

He scored a first half hat trick and a fourth in the second half as Salford were easily beaten by their counter parts.

Hull will want a repeat tomorrow in Super League.
