Despite there still being one full round of Super League to go, as well as a handful of games in round 26, Super League has overtaken it’s previous record aggregate attendance across a season.
Celebrating 30 years of Super League this season, the fans have continued to flock to games with the previous regular-season record of 1,808,405 spectators across a season already surpassed.
That was set back in 2012, which was also a 14-team competition held across 27 rounds, but the record has been broken this season despite ten games remaining in the regular season.
One of those games sees Leeds Rhinos host Wigan Warriors tonight with that match at Headingley sold out, something that has helped ensure the record is broken. Meanwhile, there’s expected to be a strong crowd at Wakefield where they host Warrington this afternoon.
As well as breaking the regular season attendance record, Super League now finds itself in a prime position to surpass 2,000,000 fans across the regular season and play-offs – something that has never been done before.

“It’s testament to the hard work of the clubs across the competition and the high quality of action being produced on the field by our elite athletes that so many are coming through the turnstiles to witness the action.
“With the play-offs nearly upon us and tickets selling fast for the October 3 Grand Final at Old Trafford, we thank all those fans who have attended, supported and engaged with Super League in 2026 – and look forward to welcoming all those who take the chance to witness the thrilling action to come.”
