Super League Round Three Predictions: Unbeaten record ended as St Helens soundly beat Leeds

Super League Round Three begins tonight as Warrington host Salford.

The first two weeks have been full of talking points and as Round Three begins there are plenty of stories to consider.

But who will pick up the wins this weekend? Here are our predictions.

Warrington Wolves 24-16 Salford Red Devils
Tonight the action begins with Warrington Wolves host Salford Red Devils. Salford are a great side but let themselves down against Hull KR a game they perhaps should have won given the way they started. However, they clearly have some kinks to iron out whilst Warrington are red hot to start the season.

Catalans Dragons 16-12 Hull FC
This should be a fascinating clash between two teams with 100% records to start the season. The Dragons being at home, despite the loss of Sam Tomkins, could have just enough to get a win against an impressive looking Hull FC side.

Wakefield Trinity 12-30 Huddersfield Giants
This game has been dominating discussions because of the pitch but now it will go ahead. Wakefield will want to put up more of a fight against the Giants than they did against Wigan whilst you would expect a reaction from the Giants after losing last week.

Hull KR 24-10 Leigh Leopards
Leigh have proven difficult to beat in their two games so far and that will again be the case tomorrow. However, the Robins are looking good to start the season and should have enough dire power to get over the line against the Leopards.

Castleford Tigers 10-20 Wigan Warriors
Castleford need a win but as they welcome Wigan to the Jungle it seems unlikely. After a slow start in Round One, Wigan turned on the style last week against Wakefield. Castleford meanwhile don’t seem to be firing just yet.

St Helens 24-6 Leeds Rhinos
Some are expecting a hangover from the Saints but in a big game against one of their big rivals it will likely be a party atmosphere as the World Champions are welcomed home. They have not lost to Leeds since 2018 and the Rhinos clearly aren’t firing to start the season. Should be another comprehensive win for the Saints.
