Super League round six predictions as pundits disagree on five games including Hull KR v St Helens

Round six of Super League sees plenty of 50/50 ties and the predictions reflect that with a number of contrasting opinions aired across this week’s seven games.

Last week marked the first perfect prediction as editor Will Jackson nailed Wakefield’s 18-14 victory over Leigh Leopards, aided by a last minute try by Leigh’s Jacob Alick-Wiencke. All three writers picked five of the seven results but upset wins by Catalans Dragons and Hull FC prevented clean sweeps.

Onto round six and there are some incredibly tough games to predict as Super League celebrates it’s 30th birthday with the anniversary game on Sunday perhaps the toughest one to pick when Leeds Rhinos host unbeaten Warrington Wolves on Sunday evening.

The action starts on Thursday with Castleford Tigers looking to respond to their 72-6 hammering by the Wolves with Ryan Carr’s side hosting Bradford Bulls. Hull KR look to respond against St Helens on Friday with York Knights versus Wakefield Trinity also on that night.

Saturday sees Wigan Warriors host a coachless Huddersfield Giants, Leigh Leopards against Toulouse and then Sunday’s other game pits Hull FC against Catalans Dragons.

Below are all our picks for the round, as well as an update on the predictions leaderboard.

Super League round six predictions

Castleford Tigers v Bradford Bulls – Thursday, 26th March @ 8 pm

Will Jackson: Castleford 16-20 Bradford

Bradford haven’t won on the road just yet, but I’m tipping them to do just that this week and edge a tight and nervy encounter. The Bulls know how to grind out results, while Castleford’s confidence and mental strength must be at an all-time low after last week.

Sam Cook: Castleford 12-26 Bradford

Castleford cannot possibly be as bad as they were last week but even an improved Cas will struggle against Bradford, who have really impressed on their Super League return. The Bulls’ strong goal-line defence will prove stubborn and help them to a first away win.

Sam Brocksom: Castleford 14-22 Bradford

The Bulls welcomed back Jayden Nikorima last week as he put on a show to defeat the Giants. Castleford will want a response after last week’s drubbing, but Bradford should claim their first away win of 2026 here.

Hull KR v St Helens  – Friday, 27th March @ 8 pm

WJ: Hull KR 24-22 St Helens

This one is really, really hard to call. Form dictates I should pick St Helens, but KR will be smarting after defeat in France last weekend and I’m tipping them to get the job done in their first home game of the season.

SC: Hull KR 20-22 St Helens

This feels like a game that could come down to kicks and the Robins are without Arthur Mourgue and Rhyse Martin, whilst Jackson Hastings has been very strong from the tee. The home crowd will be massive but I just think Saints are finding ways to win at the moment.

SB: Hull KR 20-18 St Helens

The Robins looked tired in the south of France, and were far from their usual selves. However, their home form is impeccable and that should spur them on to get a much-needed victory at this stage.

York Knights v Wakefield Trinity – Friday, 27th March @ 8 pm

WJ: York 20-28 Wakefield

York have been incredibly impressive so far, but Wakefield are on a roll now and while they were far from brilliant against Leigh Leopards last time out, I think the experience and nous they possess will prove to be the difference here.

SC: York 26-20 Wakefield

The Knights’ performance against Wigan was so impressive despite defeat whereas Wakefield’s win over Leigh was clunky with Trinity still not clicking yet. If the Knights can replicate last week’s performance then they win this.

SB: York 24-20 Wakefield

Another game that is so close to call, Trinity have been in fine form but York have proved that they can match anyone at this level. I’m backing the promoted side to clinch the two points here.

Wigan Warriors v Huddersfield Giants – Saturday, 28th March @ 3 pm

WJ: Wigan 44-6 Huddersfield

Huddersfield have players coming back but it’s been a tough few days at the Accu Stadium and I firmly believe Wigan will put a big score on them this weekend

SC: Wigan 62-0 Huddersfield

The Giants are expecting a few faces back but I can’t see how it will help them at all as their crisis spirals even deeper following the axing of Luke Robinson. Wigan will see Wire’s huge win last week as a statement that they’ll want to replicate and I think that spells trouble for Huddersfield.

SB: Wigan 36-10 Huddersfield

Whilst I expect Wigan to win, Huddersfield’s chances will be hugely improved if they bring the likes of Adam Clune and Niall Evalds back from injury. Having those key spine men in the side won’t be enough to defeat the Warriors, but could pose some threat to the current table-toppers.

Leigh Leopards v Toulouse Olympique – Saturday, 28th March @ 5:30 pm

WJ: Leigh 20-8 Leigh

I saw enough grit and fight in a depleted Leigh side last week to conclude that they’ll ease through the challenge of Toulouse on Saturday.

SC: Leigh 18-14 Toulouse

Leigh just need to get one win over the line and their season might spark into life and I feel this could be it what with Toulouse making the trip over from France.

SB: Leigh 10-14 Toulouse

I’m going for a clean sweep for the three promoted sides, and think Toulouse could take advantage of a depleted Leigh side. Olly Ashall-Bott and the rest of the side will have to be on top form, though they have shown on a number of occasions this year they can do just that.

Hull FC v Catalans Dragons – Sunday, 29th March @ 3 pm

WJ: Hull FC 24-18 Catalans

You know what? I saw enough in Hull’s performance last week to believe they can get the job done over a Catalans side who have been improving week on week. Hull could find themselves on the ropes at times in the game and they’ll need to be strong on the edges, but I just about fancy them to get the job done.

SC: Hull FC 18-30 Catalans

I just don’t think FC can reach the levels they did against Leeds again, especially with Cade Cust banned meaning a new halves partnership will be created. Catalans will take plenty from last week’s win over Hull KR and I’ll take them to win again.

SB: Hull FC 22-26 Catalans

Hello to the Hull admin if you are reading this! Unfortunately for you, I’ve again backed against FC, and think Catalans will do the double over both Hull clubs in consecutive weeks. It will be tight, but this game will come down to whoever’s spine controls the game best, with Cade Cust suspended and Lewis Dodd potentially out with a knee injury.

Leeds Rhinos v Warrington Wolves – Sunday, 29th March @ 5:30 pm

WJ: Leeds 28-18 Warrington

Warrington have been incredibly impressive so far, but they won’t have it all their own way at Headingley. In fact, I think last weekend’s loss at the MKM Stadium will be something of a wake up call for Leeds, who bounce back with a win this weekend, for me.

SC: Leeds 32-36 Warrington

I think this is the game of the weekend and I’m expecting fireworks. Undoubtedly, Leeds will respond after last week but whether they can do enough to stop Warrington is another question. Should Wire come out on top then it’s a huge statement for what they can go on and do this season, and I’m backing them to make that statement in a high-scoring affair.

SB: Leeds 18-22 Warrington

Warrington need this win if they are to firmly cement themselves as title contenders in 2026, and how perfect would it be for this game to see the same scoreline play out as the pair’s clash 30 years ago on the opening round of Super League.
