After a week off for the Challenge Cup, Super League returns, doing so with a bang as Friday night’s game between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos looks like it could well be one of the games of the season so far.
Before diving into that and the other six Super League games, we must look back on our Challenge Cup predictions with Sam Cook doing the clean sweep across the four semi-finals as Wigan Warriors men and women booked their spots at Wembley, where they will face Hull KR and St Helens, respectively.
Onto the week at hand and it starts with Huddersfield Giants against defeated semi-finalists St Helens before Friday’s double header of Wigan v Leeds and Wakefield Trinity against Catalans Dragons.
There are three matches on Saturday including an all-Yorkshire clash between York Knights and Castleford Tigers, before evening games in Toulouse and Leigh. The Olympians host Warrington Wolves whilst the Leopards take on Hull KR.
The Super League action rounds out on Sunday when Bradford Bulls host Hull FC with the Black and Whites still reeling after their home loss to Toulouse.
Here is what we think will unfold over the weekend, as well as an updated leaderboard following last week’s results.

Super League round 11 predictions
Huddersfield Giants v St Helens – Thursday, 14th May – 8:00 pm
Peter Smith: Huddersfield 10-40 St Helens
Giants have been in poor form and Adam Clune’s injury adds to their woes. They can expect a Saints backlash following last weekend’s Challenge Cup whitewash by Wigan.
Sam Cook: Huddersfield 14-32 St Helens
Jim Lenihan will have a tough task at Huddersfield when he arrives next week as I expect he’ll be coming in off the back of another loss as I’m tipping Saints to win relatively comfortably. They’ve lost Matty Lees and they still need to iron out the Jack Welsby and Tristan Sailor dynamic but they should be too good here.
Sam Brocksom: Huddersfield 8-28 St Helens
Rowley’s Red Vee will want to respond after a humiliating defeat to Wigan. I think they will do that, but their efforts have been hampered with some big losses in the pack
Wakefield Trinity v Catalans Dragons – Friday, 15th May – 8:00 pm
PS: Wakefield 30-10 Catalans
A big one for Trin after back-to-back losses against the top-two. Catalans are another inconsistent side, but their away form is poor and Wakefield should be too strong.
SC: Wakefield 20-14 Catalans
Catalans are a difficult team to predict but generally they don’t travel well and Wakefield are typically a staunch defensive side, with their round 10 loss to Leeds an exception. After two losses the pressure will be on Trinity but they should have enough.
SB: Wakefield 26-12 Catalans
Catalans can’t seem to perform away from home, and with a packed house full of Trinity fans against them, I don’t see that changing.
Wigan Warriors v Leeds Rhinos – Friday, 15th May – 8:00 pm
PS: Wigan 18-25 Leeds
If Wigan play like they did in the Cup semi-final, they’ll push the league leaders all the way, but they’ve lacked consistency in recent weeks. Rhinos are on a two-week turnaround, are close to full-strength and have the form to pick up a statement win.
SC: Wigan 32-28 Leeds
Wigan nilled St Helens at the weekend but Leeds are a different beast, however, I do expect Matt Peet’s side to come out on top in a thriller. Saturday’s win can be a huge platform and they need to back it up on Friday night.
SB: Wigan 24-20 Leeds
Going against my boyhood roots here, but I just have a feeling that Wigan will kick on from such a strong win in the Cup semi-finals and end Leeds’ winning streak. Regardless of the result, expect this one to be a cracker.

York Knights v Castleford Tigers – Saturday, 16th May – 3:00 pm
PS: York 20-18 Castleford
Injuries are a big concern for York, but they are competitive on their home ground and that might make the difference against a Tigers side who’ve been woeful in their past two outings.
SC: York 30-34 Castleford
Neither side have shone defensively in recent weeks with Castleford shipping 50 in each of their last two games but given York’s injury list, I think the Tigers may have enough in an all-out attacking game.
SB: York 12-18 Castleford
Castleford are showing promising signs for 2027, but in the here and now, they need some significant improvement. They have a chance to do just that against a York side hampered by injury.
Toulouse Olympique v Warrington Wolves – Saturday, 16th May – 5:00 pm
PS: Toulouse 10-36 Warrington
A tough task for Warrington in the south of France, six days after a Cup semi-final defeat. Toulouse are on the back of an outstanding win at Hull FC, but the visitors have more quality.
SC: Toulouse 14-28 Warrington
I think this is a test of Warrington’s character, beaten soundly in the cup and then facing a tricky away trip to France but I’m backing them to come out with the win.
SB: Toulouse 14-20 Warrington
Like Saints, Warrington will want a response, but they face a tough Toulouse side who beat Hull FC last time out. I think Wire will win, but it won’t be easy.
Leigh Leopards v Hull KR – Saturday, 16th May – 5:30 pm
PS: Leigh 22-16 Hull KR
Going to tip a shock here, simply on the basis Leigh were impressive in their win at Catalans two weeks ago and Hull KR are backing up from a sapping Cup semi-final six days earlier.
SC: Leigh 26-22 Hull KR
My upset pick of the round and it’s got very little to do with Hull KR, who are exceptional, but more to do with the belief that Leigh have turned the corner. Adam Cook’s performance against Catalans was incredible, Davey Armstrong is getting fitter by the day, spine connections are finally clicking and maybe they catch Hull KR a little bit fatigued.
SB: Leigh 10-30 Hull KR
Another brilliant game this weekend, if Leigh perform to their best they could easily scrape something here, but I just don’t see it happening given KR’s recent form.
Bradford Bulls v Hull FC – Sunday, 17th May – 3:00 pm
PS: Bradford 20-22 Hull FC
Bulls are still down on troops and surely Hull can’t be as bad as they were against Toulouse?
SC: Bradford 24-28 Hull FC
Bradford are a different proposition at home and if Jayden Nikorima is fit (this being written before the 21-man squad is released) then I’d lean the way of the Bulls. But with so many players out it’s a tough task against a Hull FC side bolstered by two Leeds Rhinos forwards.
SB: Bradford 20-18 Hull FC
If Bradford get all their supposed players back, Kurt Haggerty’s men will be in with a real chance of beating the Black and Whites, something they very nearly did in round one.
