Super League Rivals Round referee appointments including Hull derby and St Helens v Wigan Warriors

The Super League referee appointments have been confirmed for the Easter weekend, as the competition reaches ‘Rivals Round’.

Tara Jones made history last week, becoming the first female to referee a men’s Super League match. The former St Helens player was in the middle for Huddersfield Giants’ shock win over Wigan Warriors, but she won’t be in charge this week, as she takes up a touch judge role in the south of France instead.

Kicking off the round, Hull KR and Hull FC will play out the 250th fixture between the two, and both sides go into the game on the back of a win. Aaron Moore will take charge at Craven Park, and will do so alongside Liam Rush on video referee duties.

Wigan Warriors will travel to St Helens for the first of three matches in 2026. Jack Smith will oversee proceedings, partnering with Marcus Griffiths.

To culminate Good Friday, Odsal hosts it’s first Leeds-Bradford Super League clash for the first time since 2014, as Kurt Haggerty’s side look to produce another upset in their brilliant start to 2026. Liam Moore takes the whistle there, with James Vella in support.

Saturday sees three more matches take place including Catalans Dragons v Toulouse Olympique, which will be refereed by Tom Grant, whilst James Vella takes charge of Huddersfield Giants v York Knights.

Ahead of their Challenge Cup meeting next week, Leigh Leopards play Warrington Wolves in Super League, as Marcus Griffiths takes the whistle there.

Lastly, Sunday sees Castleford Tigers look to earn another win, this time against in-form Wakefield Trinity. Liam Rush has been appointed for that tie.
