Super League referee shows amazing pace as he beats NRL flyer to try line

One of the best things about World Cups is the fact they bring together all of the world’s best players and that is true of the Rugby League World Cup as well.

The tournament has brought over many of the NRL stars we see light up our TV screens regularly on Sky Sports but that we rarely see on British soil.

One of the most exciting players to watch is The Fox Josh Addo-Carr from Canterbury Bulldogs.

The NRL flyer is an NRL winner with Melbourne Storm as well as a regular State of Origin winner with New South Wales.

After being left out of this year’s State of Origin, fans were happy to see the speedester included in the Australia squad for the World Cup where he wears the number nine shirt as the nineth longest serving Aussie in the squad.

Yesterday he demonstrated the pace which makes him a must watch spectacle in our sport to score an early contender for try of the tournament.

However, he was somewhat overshadowed.

This is because Super League referee Chris Kendall beat him to the try line as he showed amazing pace.

Kendall has refereed Grand Finals at Old Trafford before and will want to return to the stadium and referee the World Cup Final however if not he’ll always remember the tournament for this moment which I don’t think anyone is going to forget.

Fans certainly don’t seem like they will:

Nor the tournament’s social media managers:
