Super League referee appointments with Wigan Warriors and Hull KR official confirmed

There are just three rounds of the season left and this week sees one of the biggest games of the year. Wigan Warriors will host Hull KR in what could be a shootout for the Super League Leaders Shield and the referee appointments have been confirmed.

After Warrington’s loss to Leigh last week, it seems almost certain that the victor on Friday night in the clash between Wigan and Hull KR will lift the League Leaders Shield.

That is one of three games on that night with Leeds Rhinos hosting Hull FC as they aim to keep their play-off hopes alive. Meanwhile, Leigh will be doing the same as they travel to The Jungle to take on Castleford Tigers.

Saturday’s action sees two games with massive play-off repercussions as Warrington Wolves host St Helens before Salford Red Devils host Catalans Dragons, meaning four of the teams from third to seventh all play on the same afternoon.

The action is rounded out on Sunday with London Broncos travelling to face Huddersfield Giants.

Referee appointments for those six Super League games have now been confirmed.

Round 25 Super League referee appointments

The showpiece game between Wigan and Hull KR has seen Jack Smith appointed as the referee in charge with the Super League crown potentially on the line.

Aaron Moore will take charge of Castleford against Leigh with brother Liam on video referee support, whilst Tom Grant takes charge of Friday’s other game.

Wire vs Saints will be overseen by Chris Kendall with the other huge play-off clash between Salford and Catalans having Liam Moore in charge. Sunday’s game sees James Vella officiate.
