The Super League referee appointments for round 22 have been confirmed, including who will take charge of Wigan Warriors v Hull KR as the two teams battle it out at the top of the division.
Rovers go to Wigan on Friday night and they know a win would put them within touching distance of the League Leaders’ Shield. The Challenge Cup winners are four points clear at present and another result would see them move six ahead with just five more games remaining.
Wigan have the opportunity to pull the east Hull outfit back to two points with a result and having seen off KR at Craven Park earlier in the season, they’ll fancy their chances.
Warrington Wolves get the round underway on Thursday night against Catalans Dragons, while Castleford Tigers host Leeds Rhinos in the first of two games on Saturday.
Hull FC v Leigh Leopards is arguably the second biggest game of the weekend with both sides having so much to play for. The Black and Whites occupy sixth spot and need a win to stay there this weekend, while third placed Leigh will be looking to bounce back from their loss against Leeds Rhinos last time out.
St Helens host Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils take on Wakefield Trinity on Sunday.

Who is in charge of this week’s Super League games?
Liam Moore has been awarded the job of refereeing this week’s colossal clash at the Brick Community Stadium. Moore is no stranger to the big occasion and he should be able to handle what could be a feisty affair. Jack Smith is the video referee there.
Tom Grant will be the first referee in action this week as he takes charge of Warrington v Catalans, with Moore supporting as video referee.
There are two Super League games on Saturday and Aaron Moore will oversee the first. He’ll be the man in the middle when Castleford Tigers host high flying Leeds Rhinos, with Marcus Griffiths acting as video referee.
Chris Kendall will be in charge at the MKM Stadium when Hull face Leigh in what looks to be an intriguing clash with Liam Rush providing video support.
It’s a quick turnaround for Kendall, too, with the match official named as the video referee on Sunday for St Helens’ game against Huddersfield. Jack Smith will be the on-field referee there.
Marcus Griffiths will be the match official at Salford with Tom Grant behind the screen.
