The referee appointments for Round Six of Super League have been confirmed by the RFL with Tom Grant taking charge of the standout game.
Round Five saw some incredible games, both on paper and in practice, meaning it was hard to pick a standout game given that Saints hosted Wire, Leeds faced Wigan and the top two faced off at Craven Park.
However, Round Six sees fewer big match-ups but there is a standout on Friday night as two of the current top six face off at the Halliwell Jones Stadium where Warrington Wolves will host Leeds Rhinos.
It’s been confirmed that Tom Grant will take charge of that game with Ben Thaler set for the video referee duties as both teams enter the game off the back of brilliant two-point wins.
One of the other huge games this week sees Catalans host St Helens as two teams that have had mixed starts to the season face off. Jack Smith will be in charge whilst Liam Rush will be on the video referee duties, having not picked up a game this week.
The action starts on Thursday with Liam Moore in charge as Castleford host Hull FC, although no video referee has been confirmed at the time of writing for that match yet. Moore will then serve as the video ref for brother Aaron on Sunday when top of the table Hull KR travel to winless Huddersfield.
Sunday’s other game sees Wigan look to get back to winning ways against Salford, a game overseen by Chris Kendall with the help of Marcus Griffiths. Finally, Friday’s second match sees Griffiths in charge with the help of Kendall as the pair work together twice.
