The referees have been confirmed for Super League round 22, with the headline game this week being Wakefield Trinity v Leeds Rhinos.
That game is a 1st v 2nd clash, and a win for the home side would see them draw level with Leeds on 34 points, something that could be crucial as the League Leaders’ Shield remains up for grabs.
A victory would be even more important considering Wigan Warriors, who are level on points with Trinity, have a home game against Toulouse, and are expected to be comfortable winners.
This week’s action starts at the BrewDog Stadium on Thursday, as St Helens look to bounce back from their defeat to York Knights by taking on a Hull FC side desperate for the season to end.
Castleford Tigers welcome Hull KR to Wheldon Road on Friday, whilst Leigh Leopards will be hoping to avoid a slip-up against Mark Applegarth’s Knights on their quest to finish in the top four.
Huddersfield Giants host Catalans Dragons on Saturday, in a game that is free to enter. The club will make their biggest ever announcement at half-time of that game, so isn’t one to be missed, be that in person or via the TV.
Lastly, Bradford Bulls welcome Warrington Wolves to Odsal for the first time in 14 years. Sam Burgess’ side will be hoping for back-to-back wins in West Yorkshire after knocking off Castleford last time out.
