Super League referee appointments as Chris Kendall takes St Helens v Hull KR

Challenge Cup Super League referee Chris Kendall and Hull KR's Elliot Minchella

After the conclusion of Magic Weekend, Super League gets back underway for Round 23 and the referee appointments for the six fixtures have been confirmed.

Magic Weekend saw little change to the Super League table with Leigh Leopards the only team to move up the ladder as they overtook Leeds Rhinos following their win over Salford Red Devils.

Leeds Rhinos had earlier missed out on a chance to keep the pressure on the playoff sides when they were defeated by Warrington Wolves.

Hull KR remained top of the table and they’ll now travel to face St Helens on Saturday afternoon whilst Salford Red Devils host Huddersfield Giants that evening.

Warrington travel to Castleford on Friday night with Leeds Rhinos hosting Catalans Dragons in a game where a loss could end the Rhinos’ playoff hopes.

Sunday concludes the action with London hosting Leigh and Wigan hosting Hull FC, with the Broncos now level on points with the Black and Whites after their Magic Weekend win.

The referee appointments for all six games have now been confirmed.

Kendal has refereed St Helens matches 31 times, 24 wins, 8 losses. Hull KR 22 times, 9 wins, 13 losses. Never refereed a game between the two sides. 77.42% vs 40.9%, might as well save on the petrol money, play the youngsters, give them a taste of first team footy.

At least that village idiot Liam Rush won’t be in the middle using ‘The Liam Rush Version of Rugby League Rules’. He is still a Video Referee though so we aren’t completely isolated from his unique interpretation of the rules of the game.
