Super League records that will never be broken

It’s a bold statement to say that some records won’t ever be beaten, but with some of the records that are about to follow, it would take something incredibly special to dislodge their place at the top.

Most Super League tries

It’s perhaps unsurprising that this record falls to the greatest support player Super League has ever seen: Danny McGuire. The livewire halfback dotted down 247 times for Leeds and Hull KR between 2001 and 2019.

Most tries in a Super League season

This number is quite astounding; 40 was the number of tries that Castleford’s Denny Solomona dotted down back in 2016 with the ex-London Bronco possessing one of the greatest finishes in the game.

Most tries in a Super League game

Without looking, most of the Rugby League fraternity would be able to guess this was Lesley Vainikolo for his six-try haul against Hull FC back in September 2005.

Fastest try in a Super League game

7 seconds is all it took for Ben Crooks to cross for Hull KR against Huddersfield on April 16, 2021.

Most goals in a season

Henry Paul was the leading man back in 2001 for Bradford, when he converted 178 goals.

Most goals in a game

Again, Henry Paul takes the title with 14 goals for Bradford in a league game against Salford in June 2000.

Most drop goals in a season

Who else but Lee Briers? He dropped a remarkable 11 goals for Warrington in 2002.

Most drop goals in a game

This record again falls to Briers with five against Halifax in May 2002.
