Round 12 of the Betfred Super League is nearly upon us and it looks as though it could be a significant one.
But how will it unfold? Here’s our predictions.
Wakefield Trinity 12-16 Hull FC
Seen by many as Wakefield’s best chance to pick up their first win, the recent up turn in form from Hull FC has many expecting them to make it three wins in a row but Luke Gale’s debut against his former club has some believing he will haunt his former side. It should be close but Hull should have enough.
Warrington Wolves 22-12 Hull KR
It is a shame we will have to see the Robins go up against Warrington without Jordan Abdull and Lachlan Coote but their other spine players stepped up last week and thus they should challenge the league leaders. Ultimately the Wolves should have just enough.
Castleford Tigers 6-24 Catalans Dragons
Catalans picked up a vital win last week and should continue their momentum here. Castleford may be struggling for wins but are always hard to beat and that could be the case here.
Huddersfield Giants 18-16 Leigh Leopards
Huddersfield need a response and it could come back at home. It will be difficult against the Leigh Leopards who have won the last two but we have seen quality from the Giants especially at home.
Wigan Warriors 20-24 Leeds Rhinos
It is in Leeds Rhinos nature to produce some dire displays followed by an impressive win and that is exactly what we could see here against Wigan. The Rhinos have a brilliant record against Wigan in recent times and are the perfect foil to them.
St Helens 26-18 Salford Red Devils
Salford have been in terrific form lately and take on an out of sorts Saints team but the Champions have only lost once at home in 2023 and they should improve after their recent displays.
