With just four rounds to go in the Super League season, details of where, when and how fans can watch the playoffs have been revealed.
At this point, it’s still unclear which six sides will be contesting the playoffs although three teams have already cemented their place in them in the shape of Hull KR, Wigan Warriors and most recently Warrington Wolves.
That leaves just three spots up for grabs but five teams are still fighting with just four points separating fourth from eighth on the Super League table.
Leigh Leopards’ upsurge in form has seen them march to within a point of the top six whilst the poor form of the likes of St Helens and Catalans has allowed Brad Arthur’s Leeds a sniff at returning to the playoffs following a one-year hiatus.
The details of when those games will be played and on which channels they will be broadcast have now been confirmed meaning fans can start getting excited,
When will the Super League playoff games happen?
One of the reasons why the 2024 run-in has been so intense is the fight for the top two as well as the fight for the top six. The teams who place first and second earn a bye to the Super League semi-finals, something which has proven crucial in recent years.
Last season, Wigan, Catalans and St Helens all finished on 40 points but Saints placed third on account of points difference. As a result, they had to travel to France to play Catalans in a game that they lost meaning they missed out on a fifth straight Grand Final.
The team that misses out will host the sixth-place side on Saturday 28th September in the second eliminator, set for a 5:30 pm kickoff and broadcast live on both Sky Sports and the BBC.
Eliminator one between the fourth and fifth side will take place the night before, Friday 27th September, at 8:00 pm and will only be broadcast on Sky Sports.
The semi-finals take place a week later with the team that place second hosting the highest-ranked eliminator winner. That game is exclusive to Sky Sports and will be played at 8:00 pm on Friday 4th October.
Meanwhile, the team that wins the League Leaders Shield will face the lowest-ranked side on Saturday 5th at 5:30 pm with BBC Sport and Sky Sports showcasing the game.
Onto the big one and that will be exclusive to Sky Sports, kicking off at 6:00 pm on Saturday 12th October. All the details can be seen below.
