Super League owner confirms club is set to make at least two more signings in these positions

Most Super League clubs have already completed their business for 2023.

However, Salford Red Devils have a quota spot left whilst Leigh Leopards seem set to sign a winger as well as a middle the latter of which is suggested by owner Derek Beaumont.

Meanwhile, Catalans Dragons are set to make multiple signings according to owner Bernard Guasch.

He has revealed to French publication L’Independant that the club are hoping to sign at least two new players at prop and centre but are also open to further signings.

He said:

“We have two quotas left and why not a French or an English player too. We come out of this World Cup affected physically and mentally. We sent eighteen of our players there. We have been the biggest provider of Super League by far. The players are chewed and it’s a difficult time for the coach and his assistants. It is important to give back this desire and hunger to the group. I expect a lot from the return of all the players, from January 2 and we will only have six weeks to prepare for the recovery.

“I hope that in the month of January, we can confirm a pair of additional players. This is the objective at the end of December and beginning of January. We want to sign one more centre and prop. Alex Chan is talks with all the agents every day to find the two recruits we are missing.”
