Super League Magic Weekend ticket sales revealed with Wigan Warriors and Hull FC among best supported

Super League Magic Weekend is less than 100 days away and ticket sales have been revealed including which five clubs have sold the most.

After a lacklustre event in 2024, the showpiece weekend of Super League has returned to its regular home of St James Park in Newcastle.

With the stadium unavailable last year, RL Commercial and Super League were forced to take Magic Weekend to Elland Road and that saw a steep decline in attendance.

In fact, the attendance marked the second lowest in the history of the event with the Sunday marking the smallest-ever crowd at a Magic Weekend gameday.

Returning to Newcastle and a more familiar date of the May Bank Holiday weekend of May 3rd and 4th, the event is set to celebrate its 18th birthday. It’s also ten years after Newcastle first hosted.

It would seem that the return to familiar surroundings has helped contribute to the impressive ticket sales with Super League revealing the figures.

Super League Magic Weekend best supported teams revealed

It has been confirmed that over 20,000 tickets have been sold already for the blockbuster weekend and the identity of the top five supported teams has also been revealed.

A statement on SuperLeague.co.uk revealed: “Over 20,000 tickets have already been sold since Magic Weekend was announced as returning back to its spiritual home of St. James’ Park.

“Wigan Warriors, Wakefield Trinity, Castleford Tigers, Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos are currently the top five best-selling clubs as the countdown to the first weekend in May well and truly begins.”

Incredibly, four of the five teams leading the way in sales play on Sunday including Castleford Tigers and Wakefield Trinity who go head-to-head with each other in their first Super League derby since 2023.

Wigan Warriors lead the way in sales with Matt Peet’s side facing Warrington Wolves, as they will also do in Las Vegas in Round Three, whilst Hull FC’s clash with Huddersfield has got Black and White fans buying tickets.

The only Saturday team to feature on the sales list are Leeds Rhinos with Brad Arthur’s side facing St Helens to round off the first day of action.
