Super League legend Adrian Morley has been appointed to a key off-field role with the former Great Britain star claiming that he is ‘privileged’ to do so.
‘Moz’ as he is affectionately nicknamed was an icon of rugby league in both hemispheres with the forward being the only Englishman ever to lift both the Super League and NRL trophies.
He is also one of an elite group to make 50 or more international appearances with Morley awarded a ‘Golden Cap’ by the Rugby League International Federation for doing so.
Now, he acts as a prominent pundit for The Sportsman and the ex-Super League star has been appointed as Player Ambassador and Wellbeing Manager for Rugby League Cares.
Rugby League Cares is an independent charity aimed at supporting and representing those at every level of the sport. Morley’s appointment will see him involved in a “wide range of projects” whilst also representing the charity as an ambassador.
Morley recently played in the 745 Game aimed at raising money for several MND charities.
