Every Super League team’s confirmed transfers ahead of 2025

Super League signings - Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Tommy Makinson

With the 2024 season nearing its end, many Super League players are close to finding their new club.

Here’s a list of all the ins and outs for all of the competition’s current clubs ahead of 2025.

Castleford Tigers

The Tigers only have one new name for next year, with utility back (primarily a centre) Zac Cini coming in, while the Senior brothers have both made loans permanent.

In: Zac Cini (Parramatta Eels), Innes Senior (loan from Huddersfield Giants made permanent), Louis Senior (loan from Hull KR made permanent)

Out: Corey Hall (Wakefield Trinity), Paul McShane (retiring), Danny Richardson (Hull KR)

Catalans Dragons

The Dragons have made lots of changes for 2025 after a disappointing 2024. A mixture of English experience (Ollie Partington, Elliott Whitehead, Tommy Makinson) and NRL stars (Luke Keary, Tevita Pangai Junior, Nick Cotric) makes for a potentially very exciting year.

In: Nick Cotric (Canberra Raiders), Luke Keary (Sydney Roosters), Tommy Makinson (St Helens), Tevita Pangai Junior (Dolphins), Ollie Partington (Salford Red Devils), Elliott Whitehead (Canberra Raiders)

Out: Jordan Abdull (loan from Hull KR expires), Tom Davies (Hull KR), Matt Ikuvalu, Tom Johnstone (Wakefield Trinity), Manu Ma’u, Micky McIlorum (Hull KR), Mike McMeeken (Wakefield Trinity), Jarrod Wallace

Huddersfield Giants

Tom Burgess is the highlight of the signings, but Esan Marsters will be a big loss for Luke Robinson’s side.

In: Tom Burgess (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Zac Woolford (Canberra Raiders)

Out: Chris Hill, Esan Marsters (Salford Red Devils), Innes Senior (Castleford Tigers), Olly Russell (Wakefield Trinity)

Hull FC

The Black and Whites have signed about 93 players from Super League rivals Leigh Leopards, and have recently reinforced their side with NRL talent in the shape of Aidan Sezer and Jordan Rapana.

In: Jordan Abdull (Hull KR), John Asiata (Leigh Leopards), Amir Bourouh (Salford Red Devils), Ed Chamberlain (loan from Leigh Leopards made permanent), Zak Hardaker (Leigh Leopards), Oliver Holmes (Leigh Leopards), Jordan Rapana (Canberra Raiders), Aidan Sezer (Wests Tigers)

Out: Danny Houghton (retiring), Cam Scott (Wakefield Trinity), Carlos Tuimavave

Hull KR

Looking to build on a successful 2024, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is a brilliant, if slightly risky, signing – while Rhyse Martin and Micky McIlorum are amongst the reliable Super League names that should add some real steel to a side new to being one of the league’s very best.

In: Tom Davies (Catalans Dragons), Eribe Doro (Bradford Bulls), Bill Leyland (London Broncos), Rhyse Martin (Leeds Rhinos), Micky McIlorum (Catalans Dragons), Danny Richardson (Castleford Tigers) Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (Sydney Roosters)

Out: Jordan Abdull (Hull FC), Reiss Butterworth, Ryan Hall (Leeds Rhinos), Tom Opacic, Matt Parcell (retiring), Louis Senior (loan to Castleford Tigers made permanent), Matty Storton (Wakefield Trinity)

Leeds Rhinos

A homecoming for Ryan Hall is the only confirmed signing at this point, while the Rhyse Martin is a devastating blow for the Rhinos.

Out: James Donaldson (Bradford Bulls), David Fusitu’a, Kieran Hudson, Corey Johnson, Rhyse Martin (Hull KR), Luis Roberts

Leigh Leopards

Full-back David Armstrong is exactly what the Leopards were hoping for for a long time, and bringing him to Super League in a major coup, but they’ve lost some real key names such as John Asiata and Tom Amone, so will certainly need to make a number of further signings for next season.

Out: Tom Amone (Hull FC), John Asiata (Hull FC), Ed Chamberlain (loan to Hull FC made permanent) Zak Hardaker (Hull FC), Oliver Holmes (Hull FC), Kai O’Donnell (North Queensland Cowboys)

London Broncos

Poor London were always going to be up against it, and they haven’t made any confirmed signings for 2025 yet as they will no longer be in Super League. They will certainly continue to lose more and more of this spirited team that Mike Eccles has done impressively well with.

Salford Red Devils

Esan Marsters looks to be an excellent signing, but that is their only confirmed signing so far – replacing Ollie Partington has to be priority number one now.

Out: Amir Bourouh (Hull FC), Cade Cust, Andrew Dixon, Gil Dudson (loan from Warrington Wolves expires), Ollie Partington (Catalans Dragons), Adam Sidlow

St Helens

A trio of NRL talent in through the door is an exciting set of additions to their backs, but it will be bittersweet thanks to the losses of Lewis Dodd and perennial number two Tommy Makinson.

Out: Lewis Dodd (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Tommy Makinson (Catalans Dragons), Sione Mata’utia, Sam Royle

Warrington Wolves

No signings for next year yet for Warrington, but Sam Burgess will pretty be happy with the side as it is. However, the loss of Matty Nicholson to Canberra may hit their pack hard.

Wigan Warriors

So far, nobody has been confirmed in or out for the Warriors. However, with Vegas to look forward to, and the profile that will give the club, they’ll surely change that.
