There has been a lot of talk recently about halfbacks going back to the NRL.
Both Warrington Wolves’ George Williams and Catalans Dragons’ Mitchell Pearce have been pursued by NRL club Wests Tigers.
Meanwhile their current halfback Luke Brooks has been linked with a move to Leeds Rhinos for 2024 with Leeds’ current halfbacks Blake Austin and Aidan Sezer coming off contract.
However, there is another halfback who we could see headed back to the NRL one day and that is Leigh Leopards’ Lachlan Lam.
Speaking on Sky Sports at last night’s game against Wigan Warriors, his father and coach Adrian Lam said that his son wants to play in the NRL:
“I know that he wants to play NRL and go back there. It is hard for me as a dad, I want him to stay as long as I’m here but I just need to get him where he needs to be in the mean time.

“He is doing a good job for us. He has fitted in well and with him in the side our attack keeps improving.”
This came as Salford Red Devils boss Paul Rowley spoke on Sky Sports and praised the young halfback:
“Their recruitment on the field is most impressive, last year they recruited a young team that was ambitious.
“Adrian’s son Lachlan spearheads that as well. That is on the field but off the field it is an event.
