The date for the 2022 Super League Grand Final has now been confirmed.
Despite the showpiece event usually taking place in early October, next year’s event will taking place on Saturday 24 September at Old Trafford.
The earlier date is set to give players that will feature in the Rugby League World Cup at the end of the season more time to prepare with their national teams.
Tickets for the Grand Final will be out on sale on Monday, with a 25% early bird discount available for adult tickets.
Last season’s game saw St Helens take on the Catalans Dragons in a tough, nailbiting affair that went down to the wire.
Unfortunately for the French side, Saints managed to get over the line with a 12-10 victory that confirmed their third Grand Final success in a row and their second under head coach Kristian Woolf.
For the Dragons, who ended the season with the League Leaders’ Shield, it’s a case of try again in 2022.
