Super League Grand Final betting odds highlight huge task Hull KR face

Wigan Warriors face Warrington Wolves in the 2018 Super League Grand Final

Ahead of the Super League Grand Final between Wigan Warriors and Hull KR, the bookies have given their odds for who is most likely to win the game.

The odds ahead of the semi-finals had Wigan Warriors and Hull KR as the two favourites, and it’s those two that have indeed made it through to the Grand Final.

Wigan breezed past Leigh Leopards, winning 38-0 at the Brick Community Stadium in front of a huge crowd, never looking after going ahead early.

Meanwhile, Hull KR managed to overcome Warrington Wolves at Craven Park, with their 10-8 victory being hard-fought and gritty.

Wigan Warriors go into the game as heavy favourites, with extremely favourable odds for the Cherry and Whites.

Much better than evens, their odds are currently at around 2/5 to 4/9, showing that the bookies see their star quality as likely to bring them the win.

The likes of Bevan French and Jai Field, along with Liam Marshall on the wing, have had an outstanding campaign, and have been at the biggest stage before.

Meanwhile, Hull KR’s odds are around the 2/1 mark, with 15/8 the kindest odds, and 9/4 being the hardest.

This comes despite just two points separating the two sides at the end of the regular season – and those points came in a tight 24-20 victory for Wigan at Craven Park, with the win being largely attributed to some contentious yellow card decisions.

Therefore, it’s clear that there is a chance for the Robins to beat Wigan on any given day of the week.

However, Wigan have history in this kind of game – they hold all four major trophies currently, with the Super League Grand Final, League Leaders’ Shield, Challenge Cup and World Club Challenge in their hands.

Wigan have the last five pieces of silverware and yet Peat hasn’t won the coach of the year award. What a joke.

With Kendall appointed as referee I’m gobsmacked the bookies will give any odds at all on Wigan winning.

If he runs true to form you’ll see one or two key Rovers players sin-binned/sent off in the first 20 minutes effectively ending it as a contest. Any Rovers try will go up as No Try, every Wigan try given without hesitation. I have zero faith in Kendall.
