Super League giants forced to recall player from loan ahead of huge clash

In the biggest game of the Round and one of the biggest of the season, unbeaten League Leaders Warrington Wolves host rivals Wigan Warriors who sit second and defeated Champions St Helens last week.

The team news is now in for the clash.

The Wolves have lost Gil Dudson and Joe Philbin to bans.

James Harrison is still absent but Daryl Clark returns to the mix.

The Wolves have youngsters Lucas Green, Leon Hayes, Jamie Reddecliff, Luke Thomas and Tom Whitehead in the squad.

Wigan coach Matt Peet has named his 21-man squad for the Round Nine clash with Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium and has been forced to bring back a player midway through a loan spell in the Championship.

The Wigan Head Coach has made two changes to the squad. Mike Cooper will miss the remainder of the season, whilst Morgan Smithies is unavailable due to a one-match suspension, in their places come Harvie Hill who has been recalled from a short loan with Toulouse Olympique and Willie Isa who is back available after his one-match suspension.

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports as Wigan look to end Warrington’s unbeaten start to the season.

If they do so, they will have beaten the Champions and the Champions Elect in consecutive games.
