There are plenty of players off contract in Super League at the moment who will be drumming up interest across the league but that their current clubs will desperately want to keep.

One of these is Kai O’Donnell and Leigh Leopards fans are desperate to see the club tie him down long term after two impressive seasons at the club.

The Leopards have recently added Franke Halton from Hull KR and are set to sign Owen Trout of the Huddersfield Giants for 2024.

So, they are building up their pack but they also seem keen on keeping O’Donnell despite the interest in the forward.

Adrian Lam recently said on Leopards TV: “Kai has obviously been one of our standouts. We want to keep our players here.

“Everyone here is in a really good place in their life and with rugby league.

“We are in the process of making sure everyone is secured and we are pretty confident that will be the case.”

His performance against Wakefield really showed why he is a player Leigh need to tie down.

In 80 minutes, he made 163 metres from 14 carries averaging over 10 metres per carry.

He also made a huge 28 tackles as he played the full game showing his impressive work rate.

The ideal modern forward, he will be inundated with others at present.
