Former Hull KR, Leigh Leopards and St Helens prop Greg Richards has signed a permanent deal with Championship club Toulouse Olympique.
He arrived on loan in the off-season from Hull KR, and the English prop has more than 100 games in Super League bringing great experience to the Super League hopefuls. He has committed for two seasons with Toulouse Olympique.
Greg arrived in Toulouse a few days before the resumption of the 2023 season at the end of January, which did not prevent him from playing the first match of the year on his native land against Barrow. The prop impressively played 24 games and scored seven tries. He will hope to continue that form into 2024.
This is good news for the staff of Sylvain Houles who will be able to count on Richards for the next two seasons. The Toulouse coachis very happy to be able to keep the prop: “After a full season, we are happy to continue the adventure with Greg because he is a complete player, who listens and executes the instructions of the staff very well. Especially since he is a boy who has integrated well into the group, ”
Richards added: “I am very happy to be able to stay in Toulouse, I love this city! I really like the atmosphere, the culture, the fans and the rugby played here. I am looking forward to the next 2 years and before that, determined to finish this season well.”
Toulouse could still secure Super League promotion in the Championship play offs.
